Hourly rate $30.00 per hour 7 week temproary assignment Surry Hills Our client is based in Surry Hills- they seek a Librarian for a seven week temporary assignment. You will be responsible for the provision of professional support for the efficient operation of the Library Services. The Librarian will expand the current holdings, work with the academic staff and expand the electronic data base and assist and advise Library members on an ongoing basis. In this role you will be responsible for the following: Manage Library stock & loans Process library membership & library cards Process Library extension requests Process Library reservation & loans Order books and manage compliance Ensure relevant copyright licensing Develop on line data base and publication facilities Develop and expand on line research capabilities Advise on how to improve the library collections Liaise with other libraries as require Research Support Provide research support for academic Provide research support for students Essential You must have previous experience working as a Librarian. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail together with the capacity to deliver a quality client service will be essential. Experience with web-based library and student management systems, excel and other programs are required.
