I have a set of videos that are encoded in FLV format with AVC and AAC codecs. I want to transcode them as losslessly as possible into an AVI format that will play on the WD HD Live player. I believe the XVid codec is probably my best bet. I am using FFMPeg with the WinFF GUI. However, I am having trouble finding a preset for WinFF that will do this conversion as close to losslessly as possible. I have been using this preset line (I also need to boost the volumes): -acodec libfaac -vol 1024 -vcodec libxvid If you think you can solve this problem, please email me.
