Senior Visual Designer, - Boston - User Experience Design Position Description The User Experience Design team is responsible for designing websites, mobile applications and internal workstations. Our team of elite user experience professionals works collaboratively with the business and technology teams to design and deliver online experiences. We are currently looking for a seasoned Visual Designer to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture and provide visual direction to important initiatives. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing the user interface and content for our clients and for working with a team of IA’s and Usability Experts to help implement the designs and coordinate design standards across multiple platforms and practices. Responsibilities * Works with the Creative Director and Art Director(s) to ensure that various aspects of design work meet both UX Design and clients’ expectations. * Participate in the development of user personas and scenarios * Serve as a team member in order to help create wireframes, flowcharts, application maps, and sketches * Solve for complex issues like interaction models, data visualization and mobile design standards * Create highly polished visual designs that leverage and extend established brand standards * Ensure that design efforts are in sync with the client's business goals and expectations * Work closely with our usability team to test and refine designs and prototypes * Communicate and "sell" your design solutions to teammates, engineers, product managers, partners, etc. * Partner with our development team to push the boundaries of what’s possible and to create specs in order to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation Must Haves * 8-10 years experience as a visual designer, information architect, interaction designer, experience designer or a similar role * Online Portfolio a must · Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite : Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, MS Office · Experience with wire framing tools OmniGraffle, Visio, Balsamiq * Experience with large company websites with B-to-B and B-to-C platforms * Familiarity with large, transaction-oriented websites and financial services · Creativity, imagination and a sense of humor · Strong knowledge of interaction design and methodology · Demonstrated experience using web analytics to inform design decisions · Executive presentation and negotiation skills at a large organization · Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines · Encompass knowledge of animation, motion design and dynamic interaction skills · Solid foundation in typography, layout, and general design · In-depth understanding of HTML and CSS * Understanding of iOS and WebOS platforms * Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors a plus Nice to Haves * Knowledge of HTML 5, XAML and any prototyping tools such as Axure
