BIAS Corporation, an Oracle Platinum Partner, has an immediate need for an experienced SQL Server DBA in Atlanta, GA! Summary * 8+ years of DBA experience designing, implementing and supporting MS SQL Server databases ranging from MS SQL Server 2000 to 2008. * 4+ years handling medium to large scale production environments. * 3+ years working experience with SQL server replication, analysis , Reporting & Integration services. * 3+ years experience in managing high availability using Windows Clusters. * 3+ years experience in managing SQL Server backups using lite speed / similar and experience in restore / recoveries. * 1 - 2 years of experience in capacity management. * 1-2 Years of Project Management and / or leading a team that also involves coordinating with multiple teams * Working knowledge of Oracle is preferred. * Strong ability to interpret business requirements & convert into technical specifications * Strong communication skills * Prior consulting experience Required Skills: * Strong experience in managing and supporting SQL Server databases in a large production environment. * Strong experience in building SQL server databases & configuring high availability using windows clustering. * Strong Working experience with replication & log shipping. * Strong experience in setting up monitoring using SQL agent / any 3rd party tools. * Strong experience in performing restore / recoveries on a periodic basis to insure the recoverability of the databases. * Strong experience in handling performance issues at server & database levels. Preferred Skills: * Strong working experience with SSRS , SSAS & SSIS (reporting, analysis & integration services) * Good interpersonal communication skills with ability to work in a big environment. * Microsoft Certification on SQL Server administration.
