Our client, located in Elizabeth, NJ, is looking for an access developer for a one year contract. The appropriate candidate will Develop, enhance, and modify MS Access database applications. Key responsibilities include: Design tables, queries, forms and reports to support user requested enhancements Write VBA code to provide requested functionality Provide creative input and design recommendations for database designs Recommend user friendly solutions to enhance GUIs Manage versioning cycle for front-end/back-end database systems Document user requested enhancements and complete functionality feasibility audit Create interfaces and import/export processes from company databases to/from vendor supplied data in CSV or other data transfer formats Create test plans and perform system testing prior to release to production environment Document enhancements and create release notes Modify existing interfaces and data transfer services between MS Access and Oracle data tables Create ad-hoc reports as needed Attend meetings with end-users and document “wish-list” items Perform training sessions Essential : Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results. In-depth knowledge of MS Access, VBA and Excel. Ability to work alone or as part of an integrated team. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated abilities in the areas of focused actionable planning, team building, communication, change management and project management. Computer skills in MS Office and other Windows applications. Proficient in other MS Office applications. Qualifications:   BS Computer Science /Information Systems or equivalent experience 7+ years experience building MS Access applications Must have the ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of: The company’s business applications. Various operating and maintenance handbooks and manuals insofar as they pertain to his/her work, including the safety rules and practices set forth therein. Must posses and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey.
