Experience must cover a range of programming skills, including technical design, front-end programming, middle-tier, and writing stored procedures and triggers for Oracle. This is a new position is for JJIS modifications to support functionality and security requirements for the Closer to Home initiative needed for NYC placed juvenile justice youth, including an interface with CONNECTIONS. This request is for a Web Application Developer. This person will work developing code to support the Closer to Home initiative and for production support for the DJJOY applications including a comprehensive youth interventions/counseling module to include individual and group interventions, single working diagnosis, and psychotropic medications tracking support; Imaging; Unusual Incident Report (UIR) system re-write and integration; Treatment Team form automation; transitional planning support; additional restraint reporting from the Automated Restraint Tracking System (ARTS, which is integrated with JJIS); automation of Notification of New Placement, Intake Re-design; detention billing and interface with CAPS; and more. Mandatory: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience developing web sites using one or more of the following tools and techniques: -Developing user interaction models and user flow diagrams - Site navigation maps - User Accessibility and 508 compliance - State vs stateless applications - HTML, DHTML, CSS, XSL - XML - UML - Microsoft tools:Visual Studio .Net (or latest version ); Visual Basic 6.0; ASP.Net or ASP; IIS Version 6.0; FrontPage -Java tools: JSP; Servlets; Java Script; HIS(Pass/Fail) Must have an understanding of database concepts and SQL commands.
