Project Planner/Scheduler Job Description: TEKsystems has an immediate opportunity for a Project Planner/Scheduler with a Fortune 50 company in Bloomington, IL. This is a long-term on site opportunity. The successful candidate will: - Have the ability to apply knowledge of project management - Assist project teams and Project Managers to plan a project, build a schedule, monitor/track resources, and analyze the results of reported progress to forecast and report the health of the project. - Be creative, organized, detail oriented, and able to assimilate information quickly. - Be highly skilled and able to communicate with people at all levels of the organization and work in the grey. - Be flexible and able to work under tight deadlines. - Function with little direct supervision and - Be able to handle conflict and negotiate effective solutions in a team environment. PRIMAVERA PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Preferably version 6.2.1. Job functions include but are not limited to: - Project Planning and Project Schedule Development - Create PBS (Product Breakdown Structure) - Populate and walkthrough SWAT (SDM Work Analysis Tool) - Gather information for building of schedule - facilitate planning sessions - Activities - Resources - Estimating hours, cost, and duration - Determine activity dependencies - Act as an "agent of communication". Have the ability to identify communication gaps and ensure project team is unified in their effort - Build project schedule - Review and validate the project schedule - Baseline Schedule - Alert Project Manager before project's total consumer hours reaches 35% of total estimated hours in SPP - Follow-up with PM, team to re-evaluate the schedule to ensure health of the project before PM asks for/returns any funds or setting of the commitment date - Resource Management - Analyze resource allocations - Forecast resource needs - Act as primary Join TEKsystems() and get your career on the fast track.
