Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a QA Tester III for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial industry clients in Lawrenceville, NJ. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct all levels of testing within the Quality Assurance testing cycle: Smoke (Sanity) Testing, Functionality Testing, Integration Testing, Ad Hoc Testing, Regression Testing and End-to-End System Testing on software applications. * Conduct data testing within an ETL process testing cycle: extraction and conversion of data from external sources, transformation of data to meet internal Albridge system requirements, and loading of data into Oracle platforms. * Conduct testing of web services calls in an integrated platform between Albridge products and other software solutions in an SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) environment, using tools such as SOAPUI, SOATest or internal test harnesses. * Develop solid test documentation, including the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Test Plans and Test Cases. * Analyze software problems, provide clear and concise defect reports and follow defect tracking practices based on internal QA standards and processes. * Exhibit knowledge of regression and performance monitoring automated testing tools such as Client/Mercury Quick Test Pro and LoadRunner, as well as with any ETL or SOA specific automated tools. * Work closely with QA and internal teams (Application Development, Data Acquisition, Project Management, Technical Services, Business Analysis, Data Quality and Production Support) to ensure highest level of quality for software releases QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 5 years of related, progressive experience in Quality Assurance, or related field. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, Finance or related field is required * Knowledge of both Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and SDLC practices, including advanced knowledge of software testing principles and disciplines. * Demonstrated history of excellent verbal and written communication skills within individual functional areas and across IT department. * Proficiency in Back-End testing specifically in UNIX environment as well as familiarity with hierarchical and relational databases, and develop SQL/PL*SQL queries to interact with Databases such as Sybase, Oracle 10 * Expertise with testing tools such as Client/Mercury Quick Test Pro 9.x , LoadRunner 7.x , WinRunner 7.x , SOAPUI, SOATest as well as testing defect management tools like Client/Mercury Quality Center.
