Content Strategist
Are you an experienced Content Strategist that asks the right questions, digs deeper, and takes pride in solving content challenges? In this full-time, six-month contract with potential for extension, your understanding of user-centered design and development processes, along with your demonstrated strategic judgment, will be assets as you collaborate with user experience, technology, and business engagement team members in a role that is strategic and hands-on. Be aware that business goals and user needs are the main drivers for all decisions. You will deliver thoughtful content migration solutions for our internal clients. You will be part of our client's Internal Web Capability (IWC) Team in their Internet Services Group (ISG). This role requires demonstrated ability to create content strategy deliverables across the project lifecycle: content requirements, audits, gap analyses, content models, taxonomies and Metadata schemes, style guides, etc. Responsibilities: Lead content track of complex content migrations and associated documentation Assess business goals, user needs, content requirements, and content sources Conduct discovery including content audits, analyses, and stakeholder interviews Develop content strategy; contribute to IA and content management planning Guide internal clients in developing new content and optimizing legacy content Lead and participate in content entry and QA as needed, ensuring integrity of IA and usability Develop interface text and instructional copy as needed The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Must be self-motivated, organized, and function well without externally imposed structure Must work effectively as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team Experience analyzing and modeling content structures and taxonomies Proven skill managing content migration projects, priorities, and workload Substantial experience (5+ years) of developing strategy and creating content for digital media Ability to evangelize and socialize content standards and processes to stakeholders Expertise in content usability best practices and AP style Strong familiarity with content management systems (CMS), HTML, and CSS A Degree in a related field or significant professional training and equivalent experience These qualifications would be a plus: Familiarity with IBM's WCM content management system Experience developing training materials and leading training sessions Please have available samples of your work that demonstrate your qualifications.
