Due to an internal promotion, an opening is available to join a large and expanding faculty that is going places. You will be teaching GCSE and A-level Health & Social Care with some RE to a wide range of abilities so you must be an organised and detailed planner who can confidently engage students ranging from SEN to OXBRIDGE. The school has over 900 students on the roll including 250 in a successful and vibrant 6th form. Last year the school achieved a 75% A*-C GCSE average pass rate across all subjects and humanities itself had a 84% pass rate. You will be joining a supportive and friendly faculty that always promotes best practice including sharing of resources, pooling of ideas and encourages a learning environment for students and staff. The team is experienced and there is a real feel of support and a willingness to help other staff members within the department. The school is looking to appoint an individual with ambition, dedication and commitment this September on a long term supply contract with the view to offer a permanent contract in the future.
