Urgent Senior Business Analyst position I Location: Raleigh, NC The role of this business analyst (BA) is to support internal program enhancements and maintenance releases. The BA will play a key role in the project management and analysis required to create and enhance the processes, policies, and sales tools which will support these new or modified capabilities. Standard SDLC should be followed. General Responsibilities: * Understands business requirements * Create Business Requirement Document o Documents and analyzes required information and data. o Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations. * Reviews and understands technical design specifications. * Reviews and understands QA test plans * Develops accurate and complete Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) plans. * Conducts BAT testing according to plan. * Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions. Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. * Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback. * Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently. * Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas. * Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively. * Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project Required skills/qualifications * BA/BS degree * Minimum 5 years project management/business analysts experience (prefer 8+ years) * Minimum 8-10+ years of related work experience required. * Excellent written, oral and presentation skills to audiences of all levels * Ability to formulate implementation options and help achieve win-win solutions for internal stakeholders, Customers and Partners * Ability to identify and analyze complex program, process and tool requirements * Works independently with minimal supervision required Desired skills/experience: * Experience in the Technology Services Industry * Strong understanding of industry business processes related to service product lifecycle, sales, order fulfillment, billing and service cycle * Strong cross-functional Cisco business knowledge * Direct experience with customers, partners, employees Communication * Promotes active listening with team members. * Contributes appropriately to conversations. * Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging. * Strong partnering, influencing & communication skills for all levels (i.e. individuals Problem Solving * Understands how various issues affect each other and the outcome of projects. * Improves upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current industry practices into fresh alternative solutions. * Strength in structured problem solving methodologies (i.e. DMAIC) * Project management skills Leadership * Assumes additional responsibility without being asked. * Encourages fellow team members to make innovative contributions and embrace new ideas.
