A Kforce Hialeah / Miami Lakes, Florida client is seeking a Hybrid Oracle/SQL Database Administrator (DBA). Responsibilities: Creates physical database tables, typically from designs provided by the database analyst or data modeler Administers and controls an organization's data resources, including multiple relational databases and servers Performs physical database design, works with system administrators and uses data dictionary software packages to ensure data integrity and security, recovers corrupted data and eliminates data redundancy Uses tuning tools to improve database performance Works with the applications development teams(s), focusing on the back-end portion of data storage considerations and performance considerations for application systems being developed The following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise: Certified DBA, Oracle DBA, or SQL Server is preferred Expertise with Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server or other relational databases Mid-Senior level on the Oracle knowledge and experience side Junior to Mid-level for the SQL server side Stronger emphasis on the Oracle DBA skill set, but should have some SQL DBA experience (1-3 years) Client requires good credit This is a 3 month, Contract-to-Hire position.
