CNC Programmer/Machinist PAY RATE: UP TO $20.00/HR Hours: 7:00 AM -3:30 PM Volt Workforce Solutions has a position available in Philadelphia, PA for a CNC Programmer/Machinist. Duties and Responsibilities: Setting up and operating CNC machines, lathes, and mills. Creating product based on blueprint and specifications. Performing machine adjustments during production. Interacting and communicating with Operators and others on process changes. Working with and relieving other Machinists. Responsible for daily housekeeping activities. Assisting with training of new Machinists. This is a 4-6 month Contingent/Temporary position in Philadelphia, PA through Volt Workforce Solutions, also based in Philadelphia, PA. Requirements: Required Skills for this CNC Programmer/Machinist position include the following: 5-10 years minimum in CNC set up, programming, and running CNC machines. Proven work habits. Eagerness to learn a new trade. Excellent verbal communication skills. Functional and technical skills. Attention to detail. Sound judgment. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Physical Demands: Prolonged standing. Use of hands, fingers and arms to grasp, feel, and reach. Frequently required to walk. Seldom required to stoop, kneel or crouch. Regularly required to lift and move up to 25 lbs. Occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Maneuvering 55-gallon drum using a drum cart. Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Regularly exposed to grease, noise, epoxies, mild inorganic chemicals, nickel plating baths, solvents and machine coolants.
