The ABAP Developer is responsible for maintaining and developing the systems that have been configured with SAP modules, using ABAP 4 (Advanced Business Application Programming). As a member of a SAP COE Team, the ABAP Developer is responsible for working with technology and business analysts to provide solutions consistent with the company's strategic direction and computing platform standards; making functional additions to the SAP system as mandated by business processes. Be responsible for the creation or modification of several objects by coding, unit testing and documenting business application programs and assisting in the analysis and correction of application program processing errors in a live production environment. Functions: Be responsible for technical program definition, design, coding, unit testing, technical documentation, and walkthroughs for all assigned SAP related projects to support company business and operational needs Develop custom modules within SAP using ABAP 4 and other related tools including SAPScripts for external data and cross application support to implement business rules in the SAP system to include responsibilities for SAP NetWeaver platform applications for integrating business processes across various systems, databases, and sources Effectively modify and integrate SAP functional modules and respond to and correct production problems Recommend and initiate change requests for SAP ECC business modules to support business rule changes and enhance system functionality as required to support tactical business including but not limited to HCM, FI/CO, and MM Assess and adapt to modifications caused by SAP Support Packs, enhancements and upgrades The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Experience with SAP HR is very important as well as additional experience in the FI Module (will be ideal) The selected resource will be working on the HR Module so need someone strong in that Our client is seeking an ABAP Developer with at least 3 years of experience ABAP experience Reports experience Interface experience Form experience Form development experience Smart Form experience Enhancements BSP and Web Dynpro applications experience
