We are looking for someone who is willing to work on an as needed basis that is a Linux and more specifically Ubuntu guru. Typical tasks include assitance with cron jobs, mysql, php and apache administration, server hardening, iptables, database administratrion, tracking down server issues, maintaining antivrius software on servers, PBX voip system management. Additional tasks from time to time may include investigating source control management systems, deploying open-source or host your own software solutions, and build process modifications. Someone with heavy linux experience for a software development company would be ideal. We would like to setup an hourly rate and use this person as needed on an on-going basis. We typically have about 12-15 hours of work per month, but we often need answers and action quickly so a turn around of as close to as immediate is necessary. Would prefer US based individual.
