The Digital Designer focuses on designing visually-arresting, emotionally-compelling experiences across mobile, web, and desktop applications. On one side, you draw on your love of typography, color, graphic design, and information design to distill complex problems into their simplest, most compelling, and delightful visual form. On the other side, you are able to think in and be inspired by all three dimensions—from the height and width of small mobile devices or large-scale interactive walls to the depth created by dynamic, interactive information spaces. You consider the behaviors of a visual system (i.e. how a button works) as much as you consider the visual elegance of the system (i.e. how a button looks). In both cases, you are driven by an innate curiosity for ho w things work, a voracious appetite for information and inspiration from the world around you, and deep empathy and aspiration for those that you are designing for. In addition, you're able to collaborate closely with those around you—including interaction designers, project managers, developers, and strategists—to bring the best ideas to life. As a Digital Designer at SYPartners, you will work on the product side of our business helping to bring our consumer offerings to life. You will be focused on multiple properties including our consumer brand, Unstuck (visit unstuck.com for more info or download the iPad app for free in the app store). Your responsibilities include: • Imagine and visualize innovative solutions that are brought to life through storyboards, and high-fidelity digital design prototypes. • Design high-fidelity interfaces for mobile, web, desktop environments. • Create a uniquely-SYP visual design system and pattern library for our digital products and services. • Communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, technical concepts, detailed design, and design with clarity and coherence. • Work closely with development teams— from prototypes to packaged products—to ensure that design specifications are implemented. • Expert at creating pixel-perfect PSD’s for development. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in graphic design for digital environments including web/application design • An understanding of digital development constraints and possibilities • Software skills required include Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator.
