POSITIONS OPEN AS OF JUNE 20. Expanding company in the Burbank area is looking to hire 2 experienced .NET Programmer / Analysts. Responsibilities: Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation. Support, maintain, enhance, design, develop and document custom business applications for the underwriting and supporting departments. Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve efficiency and reliability of our business applications and processes. Work with DBA in designing databases and write database stored procedure. Lead development teams, including effective communication, delegation of tasks, update management with progress and status, and focus on delivering high-quality products. Own the development lifecycle while collaborating with the business analysis lead and be responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project. Promote best practices and methodologies within the software development group. Conduct demonstration of software to business units and clearly explain features to the common users. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Minimum 8 years in software design and development experience with preferred but not a must two years in a technical lead role. Extensive knowledge and involvement in the analysis and development of custom business software; full lifecycle utilizing Agile or SCRUM. Thorough knowledge of design and development using object-oriented framework and service-oriented architecture. Required Programming Languages with Solid Knowledge and Experience: C#, ASP.NET, Transact-SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, WCF, LINQ, and Team Foundation Suite (TFS). Preferred Technical Experience: WorkFlow Service (WF), MVC3 or above, Entity Framework, SharePoint, and hosting services and applications on Microsoft IIS. Required Database Experience: MS SQL Server T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, database design, authentication, modeling, and implementation. Preferred Database Experience: MS SQL Server performance tuning, integration service, and reporting service. Platforms: Windows Knowledge in Insurance or financial industries is a plus.
