SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR- I. Summary of Responsibilities: Under general supervision, the systems administrator position is a member of a technical support team and is responsible for providing technical support to 100 + Windows users. This technical support includes installing, maintaining, analysis and resolution of end user problems in a timely and accurate fashion. This may also include basic end user training where required. II. Primary Functions: 1. Responsible for the installing, maintaining, and administration of the LAN/WAN networks. 2. Troubleshoot and resolve general hardware and software problems on a 200-node multi-protocol LAN/WAN. 3. Install network, client and server operating systems and application software packages on new and existing network workstations and servers. 4. Configure, test, and install new network hardware. 5. Responsible for computer asset tracking to ensure proper inventory control of all computer assets onsite. Perform software audits annually. 6. Receive and process service tickets filed from employees. 7. Design and install layout server racks and associated hardware. 8. Keep abreast of new technologies, systems, and procedures related to systems and security. 9. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Sr. Systems Administrator and/or CIO. III. Job Specifications: Ability to work independently, as a team member in an organized and efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through. Logical problem solving ability. Aptitude to apply a diagnostic approach to daily computer related issues. Skilled in solving general to moderate technical problems. Strong oral and written communications skills; effectively converse with all levels within the organization. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating and Office systems applications. IV. Educational/Experience Requirements: The minimum level of education and experience for this position includes: HS Diploma or GED required; BS in computer related field preferred. 5 yrs. of Help Desk experience or technical equivalent experience. 2yrs. direct Windows NT, Windows 2K, and Windows XP MCITP Enterprises Credentials Please send resumes in word format to firstname.lastname@example.org
