Job Title: WAAS Consultant Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 6 Months Job Title WAAS Consultant Experience 5-6 years Certifications CCNP mandatory, CCIE Preferred Mandatory Skills • Understanding of Data Center architectures, experience in planning, design & implementation of Data Center infrastructure • Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocol suits • Good knowledge on Application Acceleration and Optimization technologies • Will be able to design, deploy & support Cisco data center products with hands-on experience in operation and configuration of Cisco network devices (e.g. routers, switches, Load Balancers, Storage Networks, Application Optimizers) • Catalyst 6500 & other catalyst platforms product architecture knowledge and hands on experience is a must • Experience on WAAS, CSS products is a must • Experience on Nexus platform and ACE products is a plus • Experience in leading a team in applying all elements of Technical Consulting • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills • Experience in building and designing large multi-protocol inter-networks • Demonstrated industry awareness • Must be comfortable making Disaster Recovery Models or recommendations. • Understanding of Datacenter applications Roles and Responsibilities • Develop and nurture strong customer relationships with the data center design, operations and support personnel to play an ‘advisory’ role • Works on complex and sensitive business problems and helps implement state of the art data center solutions • Participates in developing the strategy and initiatives for the data center services team and assists with driving development and execution • Interact with other data center consulting engineers and project managers spread globally • Work with service teams, delivery partners and clients to establish credibility and capability to configure, deploy and operate world class datacenter environments supported by world class technical and professional services. • Work closely with engineering and practices teams to build unique technical skills and best practices to optimize the use of our technology in modern datacenter environments. • Assist the team in the prioritization and development of key activities, tools to use and technical implementation programs • On key projects may be member of a highly talented team to deploy and support new data center technologies
