TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a .Net Developer for one of our clients in Rockville, MD. The company is supporting a federal public health agency whose mission is to improve access to and the quality of healthcare of the nation’s mothers and children. This agency works with public and nonprofit sectors throughout the nation by funding grants nationwide addressing maternal and child health. The company operates and maintains public health data information systems which grantees use to report their public health data. These data collection systems and web reports are operational and they are reviewed periodically for continued development, modernization and enhancement. Job Description: Candidate will serve as a senior developer in a team environment, implementing the Web systems using technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, XML, XSLT, and SQL Server. Candidate must have excellent technical skills to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Candidate must have a solid background in object oriented analysis, design and development and a thorough understanding of good user-interface design principles. Candidate must be skilled using relational database technology in terms of database design (e.g. ERWin) and programming (i.e. queries, stored procedures, views, triggers using SQL). Candidate is also expected to have good communication and interpersonal skills to work in a customer-focused team environment. Candidate will be a member of an experienced project team. This position requires government security background investigation and either permanent resident status or US citizenship. Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or similar degree related to Information Technology or applicable training certificate from an accredited institution with 3 years of experience. Required Skills: Candidates must have at least 3 years of progressive experience designing, developing and successfully deploying software applications and databases in a Web environment. Candidates must have object-oriented programming experience using C#, VB.NET or similar OO languages. In addition, candidate should have knowledge and experience using XML technologies (XML, XSD, XSLT, etc.). Candidates must have had exposure to relational database design and strong knowledge of SQL (queries and programming).
