Sr. Production Support Developer/Foxpro
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Sr. Production Support Developer/Foxpro on a 1+ year Contract position with a leading company in Lincoln, RI. We're looking to grow our development team and have a Production Support Developer role open to work with our existing product team to support, maintain and release new functionality. We are seeking a mid to senior developer to design, debug, develop and deploy releases. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing an existing Visual Fox Pro system that manages interventional radiology procedures, schedules, inventory and reports. You will work closely within our production support team to understand and implement hot fixes and quarterly releases. You will also have an opportunity to participate with our development team as we evolve into a new .NET/SQL platform. The candidate will be a team player with experience on large, enterprise application development efforts. Key Responsibilities include: Develop under the guidance of senior staff and best practices Determines operational and technical feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Continually updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Working with customers to troubleshoot issues Expected Qualifications 5+ years of development experience Demonstrated experience with Visual FoxPro using SQL Syntax Solid OOP background Experience supporting applications in production – patches, tier III support, technical issue resolution, program changes – all the unpredictable stuff that happens with a legacy system Outstanding attention to detail; deadline and results oriented An intense curiosity and fascination for the business needs that are driving your project Good communication skills as a frontline member of the team Knowledge and experience with .NET, SQL Server Knowledge and experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework, Silverlight, WPF Knowledge and experience with web technologies (e.g. HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery etc.) Deep understanding of database concepts and data access Excellent teamwork skills Desired Skills Healthcare IT Experience Expertise in other object oriented languages (C++, Java, .NET) If you are interested in this opportunity or other opportunities available through Adecco Engineering and Technical, please apply online or email directly to renee.dovich@adeccona.com.
