Our client, located in Oakland, California, is seeking an IT Program Manager . Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities: Being a Program Manager and all that entails (e.g. program plan, $ tracking, resources, etc.) Managing issues such as critical path, dependencies and risk management Creating an integrated program view Creating overall program level communication plan and executing upon it Meeting with various project efforts regularly, ensuring all projects stay on track and escalating as needed This position will oversee the upgrade of CA Technologies Clarity product to V13; upgrade will not be 1:1 with present system, nor will it be out-of-the-box. Rather decisions regarding new standards, new processes and new logic all have to be determined in order to properly configure the V13 system for June 2013 deployment. The Manager will have significant impact on end users because of the new user interface. Then on top of that all the new standards, processes, etc for both existing and new capabilities have to be trained. There are 11,000 total users with about 500 in-depth users. Other impacting projects include; PeopleSoft Project Costing module integration, decommissioning of PMDW time reporting system with reporting moved into RPM, policy changes regarding labor capitalization, national upgrade to Microsoft IE8 browser, etc. Top 3-5 Required skills: CA Technologies Clarity product major upgrades, product features and functions Technology integration projects and programs. Ability to work with technical staff and user/business subject matter expert Microsoft Project or Open Workbench PowerPoint presentation development for executive level.
