Our client is the world's leading computer hardwarebrand seeking a Tech Writer/Bloggerto produce a more rapid cadence of relevant content for the company's developer audience. This is an online journalist and blogger role reporting to the Lead Community Manager for the Software Network. This Tech Writer will be responsible for publishing a weekly editorial voice in their software communities by consolidating, aggregating, and curating technology news, product information and developer opportunities into coherent stories and articles on the client's Software Network. This candidate will need to have the ability to capture and express insight, expertise and information beyond their personal expertise by interviewing experts and consolidating news and information into unique insight, perspective and analysis that serve the developer audience. OVERVIEW: Monitor news, events, social networks for Industry content on Ultrabook, Windows 8, and Metro Meet and interview team members, stakeholders and internal subject matter experts to get updates on latest product features and capabilities Meet with TMEs to get latest issues, workarounds, solutions, etc. they are deploying with ISVs Review with Community Managers and content team a running list of 10+ potential stories each week with a developer focus Write multiple posts each week based approved story topics REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years of experience 3-5 years of professional experience for tech industry: - Writing - Marketing communication - Journalism - Blogging Actively using: - Social tools (Facebook, Twitter) - Social communication (online forums, posting, commenting on blogs), with one to many or many to many online engagements Additional Skills (Nice to Have): Web publishing HTML Software development Estimated length of assignment: 3 months, with possible extension Number of positions: 1 Estimated hours per week: 40 Please indicate % of travel required: Telecommuting: No Please include a daytime phone number where you can best be reached with your Resume.
