Linux Administrator
Our client is seeking a Linux Administrator. The Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the Linux production and development environments for our client. The systems administrator will focus on maintaining high levels of availability and service for the production, development, and staging environments. Specific responsibilities include the following: - Primary duties are to support the production environment, as well as internal/external developer requests for issue resolution, installations, and changes. - Respond to monitoring alerts and carry out troubleshooting as needed. - Support the following applications: Apache HTTP Server, Interwoven TeamSite, Autonomy IDOL, Memcached, MogileFS, along with internally developed applications. - Create shell/perl scripts as needed. Mandatory Requirements - 3+ years experience with Linux (RedHat/CentOS preferred) in an environment with a large number of servers. - Familiarity with MySQL relational database both administratively and writing SQL. - Extensive experience installing and managing Apache HTTP Server. - Networking experience with subnets, routers, DNS, and firewalls. - Detailed and thorough understanding of TCP/IP networks and experience troubleshooting connectivity issues. - Extensive experience with Nagios monitoring. - Ability to document system configurations, and write operational procedures.
