A client in San Jose is looking for a skilled Windows Systems Administrator with at least 3-5 years of experience in the IT Support/Administration field. They are currently on Exchange 2007, Active Directory, SCCM, MS Server 2008. Requirements for this position include installation, migration, infrastructure, and maintenance of MS Server 2008, knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and intermediate knowledge of network-routing technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, management of NT/AD domains). This person must have basic hardware experience (ability to build, diagnose, and repair computers; strong troubleshooting skills). - Solid skills in installing and administering Windows XP/7 is a must. He/she must have good knowledge of backup/restore procedures (designing a good back-up infrastructure when necessary). This person will be the sole local Administrator for this site, working with 2 DTS techs., along with the Unix Team to support this San Jose site. Any local Windows projects will be delegated to this role (where he/she will be put in charge to investigate technologies and make sound suggestions), though high profile projects will be architected and guided by their corporate Windows team.
