Job Description: The desired candidate will possess a working knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, and Wireless LAN infrastructure as well as WAN and LAN technologies. Candidate should be experienced with network design, configuration, and operational support of these devices. In addition to these devices, candidate should be knowledgeable at network troubleshooting. Candidate will be required to demonstrate CCNA level knowledge of network protocols from layers 2-4. Working knowledge of Cisco firewalls and load balancers is also recommended. As part of normal troubleshooting procedures, candidate should be comfortable navigating through packet captures utilizing network protocol analyzers. Candidate will be required to use all Nationwide build, change, and transition processes and follow all documented network standards when creating and deploying network solutions. Requirements: Candidate must have working knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, and Wireless LAN infrastructure as well as have strong network troubleshooting skills. The individual should have a strong working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and a very strong routing skill set. Minimum recommended network experience of 5+ years with 2+ years experience in network design preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. In addition, they should have good presentation skills, documentation skills and have the ability to work with minimal direction and/or supervision. Some after hours work required for project related installations. Day To Day: The individual will be responsible for assisting team members in gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements then creating a WAN or LAN network solutions to meet those requirements.
