Web Project Manager Experience in an Agile/Scrum Environment Project Manager Experience on Web Development Projects Software Development Lifecycle, CMS/Content Management System Word/Excel/PowerPoint OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO LOS ANGELES REQUIRED Volt Technical Resources has a long-term position available in New York City for a Web Project Manager. Position Description: The Web Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Project Management, including: Scope definition and verification. Work breakdown. Schedule development. Status reporting. Coordinating release communications. Additionally, the Project Manager will act as a liaison between IT and all Project stakeholders. The Web Project Manager must understand both the business rationale and the technical requirements of projects, and be able to communicate both effectively and efficiently. The Project Manager will be instrumental in leading cross-functional teams made up of: Business Analysts Product Owners Producers Information Architects Visual Designers Front-End Strategists Web Developers Finally, the Web Project Manager will be involved throughout the Product Development lifecycle, including Ideation, Strategy, Design, Development and Pre/Post Launch Phases. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee: Multiple releases per year, assist with Emergency Change Releases (ECR), track all Change Requests (CR) and manage all Minor Site Updates (MSU). UAT (User Acceptance Testing), including: Creating a UAT plan. Requesting test accounts. Collecting and submitting UAT feedback. Communicating UAT certification. Track all projects, identifying resources required and establishing deliverable plans. Work directly with IT, understanding the technical aspects of the project, and translating those to Web Content Producers, Product Development, Business Units and Sr. Management. Serve as a resource for all issues, questions, documentation, etc. that may arise from the kick-off meeting to the release. Attend daily IT stand-ups and email meeting recaps. Effectively communicate Project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner. Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team members. Maintain awareness of new and emerging industry practices, as well as current standards applied within the Company. This is an estimated 6-12 month contingent / temporary position, through Volt Technical Resources, based in New York City. Requirements: Required Skills for this Web Project Manager position include the following: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment a must ; experience with Waterfall a plus Must have experience working as a Project Manager, specifically on Web Development projects Must possess demonstrated experience working through the Software Development lifecycle – from concept to completion Must also have skill and experience with CMS (Content Management System), Project Management software and MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Should possess excellent organizational and Project Management skills, including experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner Should have a self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources in several functional areas Must have a demonstrated ability to work with teams in multiple geographic locations Should have strong knowledge of Web Development technologies; mobile a plus Should also have strong written and oral communication and presentation skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent required Occasional travel to Los Angeles also required Please no Corp to Corp responses at this time.
