Our client, located in Bensenville, Illinois, is seeking a Construction and Design Project Planning Analyst. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the coordination of inventory and vendor management for approximately 10 - 15 retail store construction projects at any given time on an enterprise wide level. Responsibilities: * Managing various vendor relationships, through weekly conference calls and quarterly meetings * Ensure timely placement of all materials and services for store-build projects through creating purchase orders in SAP * Schedule delivery and installation of all materials and services per project in coordination with C&D manager * Process invoices for payment of all materials and services * Open WBS numbers for tracking project financial information * Communicate order status to construction & design managers in weekly team meetings * Utilize demand planning techniques to predict and plan future demand of inventory for construction and design materials, to support retail store builds * Manage key performance metrics surrounding inventory, service levels, and obsolescence. * Collaborate with vendors on short term and long term forecasts * Conduct various reporting and analysis surrounding inventory and vendor performance, as well as forecasting for future demand * Manage focused SAP reports that provide specific information that facilitates accurate business decisions * Support daily, weekly and monthly reporting according to the needs of the business that support executive summaries, weekly recaps, and general supply chain summaries * Identify and support ad-hock reporting needs Key Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. * 2-5 years of relevant work experience required; inventory planning in retail or related field preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. * Ability to balance multiple tasks at once, and reprioritize as needed. * Strong ability to manage time effectively, and to be versatile as well as flexible. * Self motivated and demonstrates initiative. * Ability to develop relationships and work in a team environment. * Experience with vendor or 3rd party relationships. * Demonstrated analytical ability. * Ability to sort through ambiguity, and work in sometimes undefined roles. * Understanding of retail math concepts. * Experience with SAP required. * Advanced knowledge of PC windows based applications (Excel, Work and PPT). * 5% - 10% travel is anticipated.
