Palace Gate Corporation has a client currently looking for a back-end web developer in Chicago’s near north suburbs. Our client is in the eCommerce Industry. This is a 3-6 month contract to hire position. This position reports to the Manager of Web Development. Required Skills and Experience: BS in Computer Science or comparable experience 3-5+ years’ experience designing and developing web-based applications using C# and ASP.NET Experience using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL, stored procedures Good working knowledge of SQL language and Microsoft SQL Server Experience with jQuery a big plus IIS and SQL Server administration a plus Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision Ability to analyze business problems and provide accurate development estimates Good communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders and web designers Role and Responsibly: Complete product development lifecycle of ASP.NET applications, including participation in requirements gathering, application design, developing code, testing, deployment and maintenance. • Collaborate with project manager and business analysts to identify areas where technical solutions can be applied to improve accuracy and productivity. • Participate in technical design meetings with other programmers and assist in definition of web system architecture. • Maintain, support, debug, and enhance existing web applications. • Develop n-tier, web-based applications. • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress. • Write and maintain software documentation.
