Public Health Transition - Project Manager
Swim are looking to recruit a temporary full time Public Health Transition - Project Manager in Bath. The key purpose of this role is to ensure the implementation of the Public Health Transition Plan during 2011/12, and to lead on a number of identified projects within the plan. The plan involves the transfer of public health responsibilities from NHS B&NES to a range of existing and new organisations. These include B&NES Council, Public Health England and the NHS Commissioning Board. Another key task includes supporting the establishment of collaborative arrangements with the B&NES Clinical Commissioning Group and their future commissioning support team. Skills, Qualifications Knowledge & Experience required; *Significant and recent experience of managing large, complex projects in a commercial, public sector environment or other complex environment. *Significant professional experience of managing large budgets. *Practical knowledge of project management and business analysis methodologies and how to apply these tools to business process re-engineering or other change management exercises. *Excellent communications, literacy, numeracy and presentation skills are required. The Transformation Service Project Manager will be expected to persuade, influence and negotiate with others at all levels of the organisation and present information in a way that is meaningful and appropriate to the needs of the audience or users. *Knowledge of how to use a variety of resources and information (qualitative and quantitative) to establish suitable benchmarking criteria, and use this information to make appropriate recommendations and improvements and develop innovative approaches to challenge existing practice. *Experience of designing and delivering development activities, such as facilitating workshops and presenting information to groups of people. *Skilled in effective People Management, with experience of achieving results through influencing and motivating other people - including both direct and indirect reports. *Experience of delivering business focused projects in a structured way, and using skills in business analysis to determine how realistic requirements are in terms of effort, time and costs, so supporting and enhancing project delivery and manage risks. *Knowledge of project management practices and principles, must understand project management standards and have sound knowledge and practical experience of project management tools (such as MS-Project, PMW) *PRinCE2 qualification or equivalent experience A full job description is available on request.
