Job Title: Senior Programmer Description: Senior Programmers are expected to have in-depth technical experience and the ability to apply that experience to specific business challenges. Senior Programmers exhibit a strong desire to build high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems. Experience Level Description: The experience level for this position is defined as having 6+ years in the IT space and 4+ years in the specific technology set they are recruited for. Resources at this level would be expected to be able to take on loosely defined technical tasks and complete them with little oversight. A Senior Programmer will display excellent oral and written communication skills and posses the ability to speak and listen effectively. Responsibilities: closely with Tech Leads to identify technical solutions to business problems. Execute component level development tasks with little direction. Demonstrate the ability to create scalable software solutions based on UML diagrams and business requirements. Mentor junior developers in new technologies. Assure that all technical deliverables are consistent with organizational standards. Capable of coming up to speed quickly on new tools and software. Provide production support of existing systems as needed. Hands-on General Technology Experience: JEE (J2EE) 1.4, 1.5 JSE (J2SE) 1.4, 5, 6 Spring, ORM Tools, AOP, JUnit XML: XSD, XSLT, DTD Web service technologies Web presentation technologies Database platforms Object-oriented analysis and design skills UML: design patterns Advanced refactoring experience Ability to be hands-on with tools & frameworks.
