Ettain Group has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Technician for one of our best clients in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for extension. In this position you will participate in software rollouts and installations. You will also work with users to maintain desktop stations and troubleshoot any issues with software and hardware. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for following established policies and procedures, assisting in rollout and installation of desktop software and hardware. You will also perform software updates and handle moves, computer setup and peripherals from site to site. You will make an impact by maintaining workstation hardware and software, as well as replacing hardware that has become faulty and correct the related issues. Part of this role will include ordering replacement parts and tracking status/inventory of items. Along with that, you will ensure that tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IS purchasing. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will complete data backups and restorations for users. You will also assist customers/users and answer questions regarding their equipment. You may also get the chance to perform software testing and evaluation of new software and hardware prior to production.
