Job Description: Customer Service Representative Duration: 6 Months+ (Contract-to-Hire) Hours: Varied Compensation: $11.96/hr Qualified Candidates should be: -Actively seeking employment and looking for a long-term position, comfortable with Contract-to-Hire work -Be aware this position pays $11.96/hr -2+ years of Customer Service experience Duties: Perform a host of customer service duties such as receiving calls and requests from lenders and borrowers. The type of request may depend on the business segment. Interfaces with customers to resolve issues, customer service calls/queries/problems. - Verifies contacts and account information. - Examines documents and implements appropriate corrective action to successfully submit documents for recording. Escalates queries/requests for action as appropriate to Lien Perfection Specialist or Supervisor. Maintains and creates logs, reports, records and files. - Investigates, analyzes, coordinates and tracks customer issues and problems. - Makes proactive calls to determine accounts requiring close attention, identifies problems and works through to resolution. Individual is responsible for adhering to First American Corporationï¿½s and departmentï¿½s compliance and information security policies, practices, and procedures in the performance of the role. - Calls and issues are predominantly routine, but may require deviation from standard screens, scripts and procedures. Follows established company/department guidelines/procedures and may make recommendations to department policies and procedures. - Errors are easily detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction. - Update internal system with rejection reason code. Update Event Tracker as applicable. Identify easy fixes and complete as applicable. -mail NSS center as appropriate to advise of rejection. Deliver documents that require more time and expertise to the LP for correction. Track and follow up on subordinations to ensure timely submission for recording once the MTG / DOT is received back from the county recorded. Coordinates with other functions/departments as required.
