Web Content Manager/Publisher
Our client, the leading Consumer Technology Product Company located in Cupertino, CA, is looking to build a Web Content Management/Publishing team. You will report to the Corporate MarCom Publishing Manager and will be responsible for ownership of day-to-day publishing delivery and production operations of their site. Responsibilities: - Championing of publishing tools and business processes improvements. - Work cross-functionally across multiple teams within the Corporate Marketing organization, as well as with teams throughout the Company. - Publishing delivery of the Company's product launches and marketing programs, as well as day-to-day publishing activities. - Ensure quality of publishing deliverables by being well versed in the use of content management systems (CMS). Tasks would include working with engineers to understand CMS template development, working with interactive producers to acquire final content for input into the CMS, and making sure all content, including images, is assembled in the CMS ahead of working with the QA team. - Management of web publishing resources, tools, and processes in the face of balancing competing business customers and constantly changing business priorities. - Champion and help direct evolution of publishing system feature sets. Define requirements that promote scalability, smart publishing practices, and intuitive UI. - Responsible for identifying and leading business process and process enhancement opportunities. - The ideal candidate will be self-directed and motivated with strong analytical, project management, and coordination skills. Candidates must work at a detailed level in terms of web production and quality assurance, while at the same time able to abstract ideas for development and what the roadmap looks like for the publishing toolsets. Requirements: - CMS (Content Management System) experience. Experience with Fatwire a plus. - Business sense in working with CMS systems. - Understanding of HTML understanding. - Web Publishing knowledge in Marketing environment is preferred. - Experience working within larger environments/companies in Creative/Marketing groups. - 3+ years of experience working on web production teams; previous experience using a CMS is strongly desired. - Product management experience in area of large-scale global content management systems. - Demonstrated success in business process improvement/re-engineering. - Working knowledge of HTML, XML, JSP, and enterprise content management. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others in an unpredictable environment. - Must have flexibility to deal with rapidly changing, time-constrained launch schedules. - Must exhibit high degree of ownership and accountability.
