This may include test workflow tools, permission and organizational tools, budgeting and headcount tracking tools, lab scheduling tools, and similar items. This Developer will work on both feature additions to existing tool infrastructure as well as new tool development. S/He will primarily be responsible for UI development work using WPF and service layer work using WCF. Some data layer work using SQL or Linq may be involved. S/He will create design documentation and participate in design /c ode reviews within the team. The candidate will also own task breakdown, costing and status updates for assigned areas as part of the team's agile development process. REQUIREMENTS: Strong coding and design skills using C# Proficiency in WPF for client-side UI development Good understanding of the MVVM or similar design patterns for UI development Intermediate skills in using WCF for service-layer development C++ and/or .NET a plus Understanding of relational database structure and ability to write queries / functions / stored procedures of low to moderate complexity Must be self-motivation and ability to work independently Ability to work through ambiguity Ability to communicate well with the team This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
