The YouTube and Video team helps budding filmmakers and musicians build careers, creates products like Google TV and YouTube Live and runs collaborative projects like Life in a Day and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. We are leading a change in how we entertain, inform and share with one another, whether through cat videos or footage of a revolution in progress. The role: Manager, Content Partnerships, YouTube Sports - New York Google's line of products and services to clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for striking and negotiating deals with Google's partners. Armed with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line, building pipeline, negotiating deals and helping partners build sales and account management functions. You also manage revenue creation and growth with our partners as part of our next generation of product launches. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players help shape great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce. You will work with professional leagues and other sports partners to build live, VOD and clip video channels in connection with a rollout of sports on YouTube. The right candiate has a deep understanding of technology and social media, thrives in fast paced environments, and can manage diplomatically both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: * Recommend channel improvements (to partners) based on your analyses of data * Assist with the development of strategy, platform or UI improvements specific to sports partners * Liaise with Google+ Hangout Group * Work cross functionally with product development, engineering, marketing, finance, and legal * Create sports partner presentations; negotiate terms sheets and agreements Minimum qualifications: * BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience). Preferred qualifications: * 5 years of work experience, including at least 3 years of related partner management or partner facing experience in sports. * Previous industry experience working directly with the sports industry and negotiating and reviewing contracts * Creative problem solver with a team player mentality The Big Picture New York office At Google New York, we work in a beautiful old building (it's enormous, a full city block) in one of the hottest neighborhoods in town.
