I need someone to pitch-correct and mix vocals into music tracks. Currently the arranger mixes in the vocals, but I would like to divide the labor a bit. The process will go like this: I write the rough outline of a song, the arranger creates an instrumental track, I add vocals, I send the vocal tracks and the instrumental track to the mixer, the mixer makes the vocals sound good and mixes them into the track, the mixer sends the finished track back to me. The main factors for me are quality and price. I prefer to work with people on a per-hour basis because I expect to pay more for hard songs and less for easy songs, and I have a good sense of how long things should take. If you're fast, do quality work, and have an hourly rate I can afford, I think we will work great together. While I'm mainly looking for someone to mix the vocals, it would be a bonus if you could also provide one or more of these other services: 1. Guitar. The arranger does a phenomenal job with virtual instruments, but having someone available to track real guitar would be a plus. 2. Backup vocals. Female vocals are preferred because the arranger and I are both male so I have to farm out the backup female vocals. 3. Transcription. If you can transcribe to sheet music at a lower cost than my current transcriber, I would consider switching. While resumes are nice, I am mainly interested in hearing your portfolio. It would be especially helpful if you could give a "before and after" example to show how you have been able to improve a vocal track and correct the pitch, as well as an estimate of how long the work took you to do.
