IT Project Manager
Kforce is seeking an IT Project Manager for a Pasadena, California client. This person must be a self-starter that manages, organizes, analyzes, and controls the activities of a technical project team responsible for systems development and implementation. Consult with clients regarding current and future business requirements; and coordinate activities with data processing units. Top Responsibilities: Manage a project team which is responsible for all phases of the system development and implementation processes including analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms; computing environment, host based, distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technology, tools, etc. Consults with clients in the analysis of short and long range business requirements Recommend innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements Coordinate activities with other data processing unit heads, database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc. Organize, analyze, and control the activities of the project team consisting of system architects, developers, and testers Assign personnel to the various projects and directs their activities Review and evaluate the work of the staff and prepare periodic performance reports Prepare activity and progress reports for the team Lead cross functional team projects and provide IT consulting services Coordinate and ensure delivery of services and support from IT for NFS applications and initiatives Be responsible for detailed planning for development schedule, budget, staffing, and approach Track and report development status (schedule, budget, milestones, metrics, key events, risks, and issues) to the appropriate Director Establish development standards and processes Ensure that all personnel are trained on processes and standards 'Top' Essential Skills and Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience Customer/Client experience Has led technical projects from idea to implementation of new systems Demonstrate identified competencies Can lead large project or multiple technical projects Work successfully with executive leadership (technical and business) Demonstrates success with increasingly complex projects Must be able to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment Consistently demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors Preferred Skills: Hands-on experience with SOA, Web Services and Agile Proven experience in leading and delivering large software projects across the enterprise Experience in Sales and Marketing areas for Insurance Experience with PEGA BPM and DCO Soft Skills: Seen as credible self-starter Has personal influence and clear communication Demonstrated ability to learn new skills Minimum Education Requirements: Must be PMP Certified A Bachelor's Degree Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States of America without sponsorship.
