TEKsystems has a contract to hire opportunity for a Sr. SQL DBA supporting applications running on the databases. This client is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. This person will be responsible for the following: -Performs SQL Database Administration -Design and develop new application databases. -Develop and maintain database schema, tables, views, and indexes. -Optimize, install and configure databases. -Generate clear and concise documentation. -Provide capacity recommendations for any new databases, including data growth projection and the impact on the server memory and performance characteristics. -Design and develop database cluster and data replication structure. -Administer database user permissions, and privileges in accordance with application and database requirements. -Work with application developers to create and maintain SQL statements, stored procedures and triggers. The following experience is required: -Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DBA. -Strong experience with SQL Server 2008 in an Enterprise environment. -Strong experience optimizing databases to handle large volume. -Strong experience in server clusters and back-up strategies. -SQL scripting and performance tuning capability. -Experience in issues resolution in MS SQL Server databases. -Experience in database design and security Join TEKsystems() and get your career on the fast track.
