Web Technologist - Java Flex HTML Javascript New York, NY A long term contracting opportunity for one a large investment firm located in downtown NYC. -Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript including at least one JS framework like jQuery, YUI, and Prototype. -At least 3+ years experience with Flex (AS2 & AS3). -At least 1+ years of experience with a scripting language like Perl, PHP, or Ruby. -Experience working with Extjs -Experience architecting & building solutions using open source frameworks. -Working knowledge of SQL and experience with an RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL. -Experience with large-scale productions (i.e. high-scalability, high-availability) with the ability to optimize architecture and implementation across all layers. -Familiarity with Agile development methodologies including XP, Kanban, and Scrum. -Ability to be a team player working with groups of people of varying technical skill. -Excellent communication skills. Preferred Experience -An OOP language such as Java or C# with an understanding of design patterns. -Dependency injection frameworks and ORM. -Mashups with maps, URL shortening, Twitter, and Facebook. -Cloud infrastructure such as Amazon AWS. -Photoshop and Illustrator especially with cutting and web optimizing images. -Application and/or web server technology like JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, IIS, and WebSphere.
