Duration: 6 Months (with high potential for extensions) Location: Miami, FL/ Zip Code: 33178 Compensation: $65.00 - $70.00/ Hourly on W2 Role: Web Architect Role Description: The Web Architect will be responsible for leading a scrum team of 4 to 6 web developers. The primary work for this team is to enhance various pages and business rules for the booking engine. The environment is a complex multi tier system with typical web based user interface (HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript) with C# code behind and SQL DBs, as well as interfacing with WebMethods message broker into the corporate API that is managed in the Mainframe. Some other key attributes: High volume site of ~ 3.5MM hits during peak season, across 11 production grade web servers, cloud load testing, leveraging AKAMAI as the CDN layer on the edge; the client also utilize Keynote as the production web monitoring system. Technical Skill Set Requirements: - Require leading and driving resources with varied skills (developer, designer, analyst, business domain SME, etc.), varied types (employee, offshore and T&M) in multiple locations in multiple countries. - This position requires a minimum 8 years professional experience working within both traditional systems development methodologies and scrum agile methodologies where at least 5 years have been in a position leading cross functional teams, projects and driving architectural best practices. - A solid background in the programming of complex, database-backed Web sites is critical. Hands-on technical experience with the following key technologies is also required: (Rank 1 to 5, 5 being the most important) - C#, 5 - JavaScript, 4 - JSON, 4 - JQuery, 4 - XML, 4 - Restful Web Services, 4 - Visual Studio .NET, 5 - MVC2/3 5 - SQL Server 2000/2008 R2, 3 - Sitecore 3 - SCRUM 3 Secondary Technical Skill Set Requirements: - Web Architect or comparable with at least 8 years of total experience in systems/ solutions driven organizations. - Minimum 5 years of experience leading cross functional teams, with ability to create new teams and/or grow and mentor existing resources both technically and operationally. - Minimum 5 years of experience with strong business acumen and senior level communication using best judgment on keeping management aware of key drivers and issues as well as right balance on adequate escalation in support of optimal operational efficiencies. - Minimum 5 years of experience with business and systems best practice identification, trialing forward looking innovations and continuous improvements in business process and system implementations. - Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise systems design and requirements. Involving backend systems, mobile systems, web systems and other similar technologies. - Minimum 5 years of leading large scale database driven systems architecture and solution. Involving applications with very high transaction volume, i.e., 4 million hits per day.
