Production Support Analyst, Merchant Compliance Operations Candidates will be evaluated on the following: 1) Educational Background 2) Work History and Experience 3) Specific Skills/Abilities 4) Expected fit within the team Required Qualifications: •Minimum of 2 years of experience. •PC literacy with word processing and spreadsheet applications •2+ years experience in data handling, data analytics, and data quality •2+ years experience in production metrics, process reporting, process documentation •Power user of Microsoft Office, including advanced use of Access and Excel for tracking and reporting •History working on processes / projects with a global scope •Previous role in a matrix organization •Have strong analytical & tactical skills to manage risk and creatively develop contingency plans. •Be process oriented, have excellent written/verbal communication skills, and ability to present complex ideas to a diverse audience. •Have the ability to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment. •Have a proven track record of problem identification, analytical problem solving, and issue resolution preferably in a global process. •Be highly focused on quality and ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations. •Demonstrated competency in effectively executing continuous, repeatable process steps and functions •Ability to develop issue logs and update / track on a continuous basis •Ability to document procedures, document process steps and document repeatable processes using process flow techniques and VISIO software •Propose improvement ideas and develop solutions to diverse and complex problems •Undergraduate degree is highly preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline) •Previous American Express work history is a plus Duties and Responsibilities: •Perform daily steps and functions in a global process that ensures American Express Merchants conform to the Data Security Operating Policy, •Analyzes and supports database operations by controlling production applications, understand production procedures, and provides first-line support for operation problems •Able to analyze, troubleshoot and resolves production issues with minimal supervision •Responsible for coordinating with various client management, network development and security teams in the US & International markets to ensure the successful execution of the Merchant Compliance Operations. This includes maintaining a Microsoft-Access data repository, query and report development, data management, quality control, attending meetings and other business process functions as required. •Track & report compliance statuses and resolve issues in the merchant Compliance program. •Perform analytical problem solving for end-to-end production operations processes and devise workable solutions. •Use tools such as MS Excel to provide updates and reporting as needed. •Interact with external service provider to ensure functions in a shared business process are performed. •Serves as a subject matter expert on the merchant Compliance program. •Proactively identify and resolve issues. •Identify opportunities that improve the data and processes that support the merchant Compliance program. Expected fit within the team •Hard working with strong work-ethic •An individual who can both take initiative as well as follow direction when provided RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS -> Requires a degree in management with a production control emphasis. -> Minimum of 2 years of experience. -> Has PC literacy with word processing and spreadsheet applications. -> Able to analyze, troubleshoot and resolves production issues with minimal supervision. -> Works as an effective teammate, communicator and trainer; able to work required hours and shifts when required. -> May need experience in mainframe functions involving production control, batch processing and batch testing. -> Experience in one or more of the following software packages may be required: AMAPS, XBMS, ASK/MANMAN, BPCS, Dataflow, Demand Solutions, CA/SCHEDULER, Infoman, and Remedy. FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITY -> Analyzes and supports computer operations by controlling production applications, monitoring system resources and response times, and provides first-line support for operation problems. -> Understands production procedures and material flow issues. -> Maintains production orders, performs inventory reconciliation, manages transactions involving material movements, maintains inventory accuracy and utilizes technical knowledge and data to support decision-making functions. -> Duties may include the review of change records and an associated implementation for completeness, accuracy and adherence to standards and policy; duties may also include forecasting and the management of particular computer functions and data.
