Field Engineer II - In-Flight Entertainment - Everett and Renton Everett, WA Please Reference Job ID: 300117-10098-13-302931 Volt Technical Resources Client is looking for a Field Engineer - Level II to work in both Everett and in Renton. This role works in the capacity of an Engineering Liaison for the development and/or integration of In-Flight Entertainment Systems ensuring the systems are fully functional and operational at the time of installation. Travel between Everett and Renton is required as well as travel to customer and/or aircraft OEM sites (domestic and international) up to 20% of the time. This position is listed as rotating different work shifts 2 days during the work week of Monday - Friday with Shifts of: 6am-3pm and 2:30pm-11pm AND on the Weekends with Sat/Sun Shifts of: 7am-4pm. Your Job Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance, formal training and field assistance to other personnel and customers in troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, network and software issues Maintain a detailed working knowledge of Aircraft Avionics Systems which interface with the client's equipment Provide troubleshooting assistance and support for new equipment installations for hardware, wiring and software integration efforts and problem resolution This is an estimated 12 month Contingent/Temporary position in Seattle, WA and offered through Volt Technical Resources which is located in Redmond, WA. Avionics background preferred. Must have good understanding of Operating Systems and Network Administration. Must be able to use TCP/IP and SQL Database. Must have working/recent LINUX experience. Provide technical guidance, formal training and field assistance to other personnel and customers in troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, network and software issues. Maintain a detailed working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems which interface with the client's equipment. Familiarity with FAA, CAA, and ATA requirements. Active Washington State drivers license and willing to submit to DMV record check. Provide troubleshooting assistance and support for new equipment installations for hardware, wiring and software integration efforts and problem resolution. Soft Skill Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work as a strong contributor within a team. Please Note the follow Requirements: Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to travel to customer and/or aircraft OEM sites (domestic and international) up to 20% of the time. Must be willing to work shifts for all Field Crew, Monday - Friday shifts are 6am-3pm and 2:30pm-11pm. Weekends are required Sat and Sun shifts are 7am-4pm.
