My client has a project where they will need a strong, Senior level PHP, HTML5 web developer to assist them with important development in a $500M organization. Some of the development will be to allow for legacy back end applications to work with mobile tablets and devices in a retail environment. The candidate they are looking for would be an experienced IT professional who has developed business/web-based applications in PHP (running in a production environment), HTML, Javascript, and CSS and have experience interfacing the web front end with legacy backend databases using SQL. Skills needed: 7+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years of recent PHP, HTML development experience. Experience working with backend server development interfacing web-based PHP/HTML applications with legacy applications. Development experience with Javascript, CSS, and related technologies desired. Experience or good knowledge developing applications to work on tablets or mobile phones helpful. Track record implementing PHP and related web technologies in diverse environments / platforms required. Working as the Sr. developer or Lead Developer or being the PHP "go to" resource strongly required. Having the communication and organizational skills to help coach and mentor other developers in PHP helpful. Experience working with or interfacing applications to an IBM System i (iSeries, AS/400) or DB2/400 helpful. Ability to work full time on site at client location in Warren Michigan required. Experience working on development efforts where the team is in different locations a plus. While the initial engagement is intended to be 40 hours / week for 3 months, it is expected to be a long-term project that will go from 12 - 24 months. This client has other similar PHP development efforts on the horizon so a successful project will likely lead to more work.
