It offers to reduce the time and effort necessary to organize and process orders while simultaneously offering their customers a much wider selection of quality customizable products. The simple online design process is accessible to individuals of all levels of web experience, yet flexible enough to meet the creative needs of more advanced users. Photillion leverages the reach and scalability of the internet to automate design, proofing and print processes in order to remove production challenges from the photographer's workflow and give the customer the power of choice and creative control over the final product. This results in greater efficiency and profitability for the photographers and increased customer satisfaction. The customized artwork can be applied to a number of different products, for purchase on the site, including photo packages, trading cards, posters, etc. The site will cater to individuals, minor sports teams, groups, and the online community. Photillion will be a brandable Consumer portal for the end user and a Retail portal for Photographers. Document & Design Overview Included with this document is the Original Process Design diagram for the application; the attached zip files are the full user and navigation experience specs, and some photo package samples, as a sample of the finished product (target). Much of the photo editing functionality may be available as an API from a third party, to make it easier and not redo what is available out there. One example is picnik.com and their API: /info/api. In this way the resulting product will be the best possible match to the target. Site Description The site will; · Provide individual customers with an efficient and easy to use process for uploading, organizing, and customizing photos · Provide photographers with tools and services to help them manage their photos and events, and facilitate product sales to their clients · have a simple front end / home page · have a simple and consistent look and feel throughout the site · be dynamic and interactive · will offer a number of options for printing (details below) · tie into social networking portals (Facebook, Picasa, etc) · will have portals to integrate into existing photo sites (Kodak, Google, etc) ? A photo feed to the engine from Android/IPhone/IPad products seems like an easy obvious extension.
