Global Internal Communications Manager
Are you a Senior Internal Communications Manager comfortable and capable of working in a stand-alone role for a major financial services institution? My client is looking for a global internal communications contractor to cover maternity, commencing mid July 2012 for a 6 month contract. The purpose of this role is support the global Internal Communication strategy and delivery, and advise and support senior stakeholders at a local level on the communications strategy and tactical delivery. You will be required to develop and drive global communications projects across the business, and to promote best practice at all times. Responsibilities in the role will be: • Help drive employee engagement through socialising brand, values and operating principles internally • Work with existing internal communication channels and building on existing approach, including developing innovative new solutions to constantly raise the bar on internal communications and maximise communication effectiveness • Support on the ongoing implementation of a global internal communications strategy, working closely with the Marketing and Communications team and regionally based senior colleagues • Support delivery of project based activity alongside overseeing the successful delivery of "business as usual" communication through a defined suite of communication channels • Compile, write and publish weekly business updates. Liaise with contributors from around the business to craft and communicate messages • Act as editor for the online quarterly magazine. Responsible for every aspect of delivery; from issue planning, coordinating content/contributors, writing/editing stories, managing creative agency, critiquing creative and design and attaining all required sign offs • Manage the budget for implementation of internal communications projects • Manage relationships with key suppliers To be successful in this position you must understand and be able to apply business strategies for different business areas within the portfolio, and how it relates to the overarching strategy. You must be able to build strong relationships with business partners, and colleagues around the business and globally. It is preferable that the successful candidate have financial services experience, as well as experience in a global role. You must be able to work in a stand-alone capacity, liaising daily with overseas Head Offices, therefore you must be a motivated and capable individual with a passion for driving forward the internal communications function within the business.
