Two 6 months Contract-to-Hire positions are available with a Kforce client in Carrollton, Texas! In this role, you will be working on the security projects software team focusing on projects that involve the security of critical infrastructure. You will follow the company's software engineering process in developing software solutions for their security platform. In your role as a Software Developer, you will be responsible for all software activities associated with the design, coding, and testing of new software. Specific Functions: * Perform Software functions as governed by our software engineering process * Work with Project Manager/Project Engineering/Customer to facilitate completion of the project * Acquire knowledge of company related products and services * Apply all required business processes to perform essential job duties and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with relevant company policies * Establish effective communications and working relationships with project and/or department customers, team members, and management * Meet project schedule deadlines and work within project budget Qualifications Required Experience: * Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience utilizing software and information systems * Experience in the following software: C#, Visual Studio 2008/2010, Microsoft Operating Systems * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Good communication skills are required to interface with vendors and customers (internal and external) * Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment * Desire to learn new technologies * Demonstrated leadership skills Desired Experience: * Database Integration with Oracle or SQL Server * WPF user interface programming in C# * Windows Forms user interface programming in C++/C# * Experience with Cisco Video * Experience with Access Control Education Requirements: - BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical area is required. Amount of Travel Required for Position 0%-10%
