FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE This position will be within the Quality Assurance Organization that is responsibility for Functional/Manual Testing, Performance Engineering and Test Automation. This role is to be a leader and individual contributor in the center of excellence (COE) around Test Automation for the Direct to Consumer (D2C) business within the client. This resource will help identify and execute best practices that will included but not limited to, tools, processes, measurements, execution of test and assist with providing or identifying education through training, marketing and knowledge sharing. The resource should have experience in the various types of test automation. The resource needs to have hands on experience in test automation. This resource will need to mentor others both on and offshore. The Test Automation and Build Engineer will be involved in : 1. Create and maintain libraries and object repositories for the Automation Framework 2. Work closely with manual test engineers for automating existing test cases. 3. Write effective and thorough bug reports and verify bug fixes. 4. Development of a test framework per application 5. Work with developers to integrate automated tests with end-to-end build and test environment 6. Assemble and understand QA metrics; Identify problem areas in the product requiring developer attention. 7. Ability to test, develop, iterate on a rapid basis 8. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities 9. Understanding of latest innovations, trends and emerging technologies in QA testing and test methodology 10. Create solutions - to imagine possibilities and hone in on ones with real potential to deliver a proof of concept or demonstration of a potential solution to an obstacle 11. Supplies technical guidance to the team of automation engineers and works with the local development and build teams to facilitate the running of automated scripts. 12. Writes automated scripts based on working manually executable test cases which are supplied by functional test engineers. 13. Ensures that the Off-shore QA resources are following established QA and Test Automation procedures 14. Reviews broken scripts or suites and helps the automation team resolve issues with the running of scripts. 15. Identifies vulnerabilities in automated testing and defines and manages plans to mitigate risk. 16. Provides timely and accurate status for the assigned product line. Skills: 3+ years in Test Automation (Selenium, Cucumber, HP ALM QTP or equivalent) 3+ years coding with VB (Java/Python/Ruby/C#..etc is fine) 1+ year development experience with Java & JUnit 3 + years testing backend infrastructure Experience with at least 1 third party packaged software (ERPs, WMS, Scheduling type systems) 3+ years in a software development methodology, preferably waterfall and agile 3+ years working with relational databases (preferably Oracle), working knowledge of SQL 2+ years with record and playback with extensions (data/keyword, component) Experience building or maintaining an automated test framework is required.
