Title: Developer, Enterprise Server Engineering Location: Gaithersburg, MD Duration: 6 months contract with possible extension Purpose: Primary responsibilities will include assisting in developing and maintaining comprehensive web portals to address common end-user needs, back-end process automation, and inventory analysis. Provide transition instruction, documentation and tier three technical support to the production environment. Customers/Partners: All “Company” associates, internal Information Resources departments. Full Service Select Service Corporate Headquarters Campus Reservation Centers Systems Administration IR Shared Services Partner Organizations GNOC Enterprise Server Engineering System engineering teams Enterprise Operations Application Services Group Vendors Measurements of Success: Success in this position is based on customer satisfaction as well as meeting project deadlines and yearly goals established by Enterprise Server Engineering manager. Areas of Responsibility: Assist with the development of Windows ASP.NET Web Portal using C# and .NET 4.0 Assist with development of various scripts using Perl Develop product quality assurance measurements and auditing. Provide turnover support for engineering efforts to operational organizations. Work Environment: The primary work location is in Gaithersburg, MD. There will be times when support activities may involve travel to the International HQ in Bethesda or the Computing Network Center located in Frederick, MD. This position’s hours of support will be during the day shift. Off hours support and availability intermittently required. Technical Qualifications & Education Required: Technical Skills/Computer: C# (.Net 3.5 and 4.0) Familiarity with Perl WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) SOAP/REST-based web services ASP.Net and ASP.Net MVC Data access techniques (ORM) such as Entity Framework and NHibernate Database experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and MySQL XML and XSD LINQ Experience with Subversion source control and bug-tracking software Troubleshooting/debugging skills Project Management Skills a plus. Ability to work as a team member in a fast paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other: Experience with software release/deployment processes Experience with object-oriented concepts and architectures Experience with service-oriented concepts and architectures Minimal of 5 - 10 years programming experience in both web and object oriented environments Minimal of 3 - 5 years programming experience in .Net Framework Education – College degree or equivalent work experience required with an emphasis in business or computer science.
