OVERVIEW: The Social Experience team for our client is designing and delivering a social experience for kids with all of the fun and safety that defines this hugely popular interactive media and entertainment brand. We are looking for an experienced, creative, and motivated Technical Program Manager. In this contract role, you will plan, drive, and deliver core features of the shared social experience across products such as kid friendly themed social networking sites. The Technical Program Manager champions the creative vision for multiple projects across all platforms. S/He will have a finger on the pulse of technology and virtual world communities to identify issues, emerging trends and opportunities. Collaborating with creative and business teams, the Technical Program Manager works to ensure that both audience expectations and business needs are met in the on-time delivery of a global feature set. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with creative, technical and development teams to define project vision, create detailed designs, and set schedules Define and author presentations and functional specifications Obtain approvals at key milestones Lead multiple projects while staying aligned with core business vision and creative goals Build consensus between all product leads for features/functions of the shared social experience Manage the flow of assets and information within multi-disciplinary team and across partner teams Assist building strategy and develop detailed plans for the social experience for the client's very extensive online properties Work with the project management team to create and maintain development schedules Coordinate the quality assurance process REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field 3-5 years delivering large scale, complex technical solutions and products for demanding clients 3-5 years experience leading games or online media development Ability to define success metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and use data to deliver plans and detailed designs that offer exceptional value and innovation Expertly fosters positive, long-lasting relationships within multi-disciplinary teams Ability to create efficient feedback channels with broad set of partners and leverage this network to build better features and products In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle and development methodologies. In-depth knowledge and experience with Internet technologies and high-performance, highly scalable and highly reliable design and architecture concepts Must be adept at technical problem solving Ability to analyze and apply data to improve results Must be able to draft excellent project briefs, functional specifications, and process documents Exceptional attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to changing business needs/timelines and completing quality projects on time Experience with project ownership, from conception through to delivery with minimal supervision from management Proven track record designing and delivering positive, simple user and developer experiences regardless of technical complexity Professional experience with a social networking company preferred Experience playing a variety of children's online games and using a variety of social networking sites This contract position is estimated to be 6 months in duration with possible extension or conversion.
